This inclination translated into passion and led Lalit to undergo formal training in Textiles from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT), after which He secured an opportunity to work as a designer at a reputed manufacturing firm.

by the increasing demand for men's wear in an otherwise something different in the oriented fashion market. Since then "Lalit Laungani" label has grown in many forms and has received outstanding and admirable response from the
fashion savvy.

Lalit likes experimenting with the prevailing trends and venturing into new modes of design creation and accessories. Carving new ensembles with a fusion of classical sophistication and contemporary a la mode, Lalit assemblage composes of a vibrancy of colours, yet retaining the nonchalant poise. Creating couture outfits gave more room for speculation. Blending formal jackets or blazers with jeans gave a new classification to the term semi-formal.. .The challenge of designing contemporary garments which transcended the mundane traditional look, so often confused with classic style, was taken to a different level. The ingenious styling with a choice of fabrics combined in different weights resulted in a reinvigorated vision of the classic.
